Tranen
Language: Dutch (Nederlands)
't Is geen dauw, het is geen regen,
Moeder, die uw graf doordringt.
O! 't zijn tranen,
Brandend heete tranen,
Die uw arme kind hier plengt.

Ach! ik grave, grave, grave ...
Uit mijn naaglen springt het bloed.
'k Breng, met smarte,
Met gebroken, bloedend harte,
Moeder, breng ik u mijn goed.

Deez' uw ring, blijf hem bewaren,
Lieve moeder, moeder zoet ...
Ach! zij zeggen
Dat uw kind hem af moet leggen,
eenen andren dragen moet.

Ring, mijn ring, gij duurbaar kleinood,
moeten wij gescheiden zijn?
'k Zal weldra u
Komen zoeken in der aarde,
En dan zijt gij weêr de mijn.
