Northwards
Language: English  after the Norwegian (Bokmål)
Northwards over the hill and dale my thoughts fly, their swift course pursuing. Where dwells the maid, that would play with me? Ah, that I fain would be knowing! Northwards over the hill and dale my thoughts fly, their swift course pursuing. Would that I knew that fair maiden free, who'd gladly hear my wooing! In the light of the setting sun the rocks and the moors are glowing. Better not woo the maiden at all, if cross and scornful she's growing.
From the Sinding score.
