by Konstantin Konstantinovich Romanov, Grand Duke of Russia (1858 - 1915), as K. R.

Letom
Language: Russian (Русский)
Davno cherjomukha zavjala,
I na sireni sred' sadov
Uzh ne kachalis' opakhala
Blagoukhajushchikh cvetov.

‎Po dlinnym zherdjam khmel' zelenyj
Vilsja vysokoju stenoj,
I rdeli pyshnye piony,
Nagnuvshis' nizko nad travoj.

‎Gljadelis' zvezdy zolotye
V strui prozrachnye reki,
I slovno ochi golubye
Vo rzhi sineli vasil'ki.

‎My dozhdalis' srediny leta,
No veshnikh dnej mne bylo zhal',
I s `etoj radost'ju rascveta
Prokralas' v dushu mne pechal'.

‎Lishit'sja vnov' mne strashno stalo
Vsego, chem zhizn' tak khorosha,
Chego tak dolgo serdce zhdalo,
Chego tak zhazhdala dusha!
