from Volkslieder (Folksongs)

Molodka, molodka molodaja
Language: Russian (Русский)
- Molodka, molodka molodaja,
Razlapuška, svetik, dorogaja!
Už polno po ulice choditi,
Ach! polno po milen'kom tužiti.

- Už kak mne po milom ne tužiti,
Takogo drugogo ne nažiti!
Čto rostom, dorodstvom, krasotoju,
Svoej molodeckoju postupkoj!

Večor ja so milym pobranilas',
Večor s dorogim ja posčitalas',
Pobranka byla, tak, nebol'šaja,
Ne znaju, kak s milym pomirit'sja!

Samoj pokorit'sja ne goditsja,
Ljudej zasylati mne ne kstati.
Doždus', moloden'ka, temnoj noči,
Čto temnyja nočen'ki osennej,

Sama ja k milomu pobyvaju,
V glaza dorogomu popenjaju.
Ach, ljubčik moj, milen'kij golubčik!
Ne slušaj ty razuma čužogo,

Ne slušaj ty razuma čužogo,
Čužich, moja radost', nagovorok,
Ljudi-to smuščajut, razlučajut,
Ljudjam to zavidno, čto sovetno.
