by Konstantin Konstantinovich Romanov, Grand Duke of Russia (1858 - 1915)

‎Zatish'e ná more… Za bureju stroptivoj
Language: Russian (Русский)
‎Zatish'e ná more… Za bureju stroptivoj
Nastala mertvaja, nemaja tishina:
Uzh vybivshis' iz sil, kak vjalo, tak lenivo,
Jedva kolyshetsja ustalaja volna.

‎Zatish'e ná serdce… Zastyli zvuki pesen,
Tuskneja, merknet mysl', bezmolvstvujut usta,
Krug vpechatlenij, chuvstv tak uzok i tak tesen, —
V dushe kholodnaja takaja pustota.

‎No naletit groza i drognut neba svody,
Zableshchut molnii, i razrazitsja grom,
I groznyj uragan na dremljushchije vody
Dokhnet vlastitel'nym, pobednym torzhestvom.

‎Tak minet nakonec pora dremoty kosnoj,
Unylaja dusha vosprjanet oto sna,
I snova grjanet pesn' moja pobedonosno, —
I potechet stikhov sozvuchnaja volna!
