by Aleksandr Sergeyevich Pushkin (1799 - 1837)

I putnik ustalyj na boga roptal
Language: Russian (Русский)
I putnik ustalyj na boga roptal:
On žaždoj tomilsja i teni alkal.
V pustyne bluždaja tri dnja i tri noči,
I znoem i pyl'ju tjagčimye oči
S toskoj beznadežnoj vodil on vokrug,
I kladez pod pal'moju vidit on vdrug.

I k pal'me pustynnoj on beg ustremil,
I žadno cholodnoj struëj osvežil
Gorevšie tjažko jazyk i zenicy,
I lëg, i zasnul on bliz vernoj oslicy —
I mnogie gody nad nim protekli
Po vole vladyki nebes i zemli.

Nastal probužden'ja dlja putnika čas;
Vstaët on i slyšit nevedomyj glas:
«Davno li v pustyne zasnul ty gluboko?»
I on otvečaet: už solnce vysoko
Na utrennem nebe sijalo včera;
S utra ja gluboko prospal do utra.

No golos: «O putnik, ty dolee spal;
Vzgljani: lëg ty molod, a starcem vosstal;
Už pal'ma istlela, a kladez cholodnyj
Issjak i zasochnul v pustyne bezvodnoj,
Davno zanesënnyj peskami stepej;
I kosti belejut oslicy tvoej».

I gorem ob"jatyj mgnovennyj starik,
Rydaja, drožaščej glavoju ponik…
I čudo v pustyne togda soveršilos':
Minuvšee v novoj krase oživilos';
Vnov' zybletsja pal'ma tenistoj glavoj;
Vnov' kladez napolnen prochladoj i mgloj.

I vetchie kosti oslicy vstajut,
I telom odelis', i rev izdajut;
I čuvstvuet putnik i silu, i radost';
V krovi zaigrala voskresšaja mladost';
Svjatye vostorgi napolnili grud':
I s bogom on dale puskaetsja v put'.
