А было их, впрочем, не мало:
Дворовый щенок голосил,
В воротах старуха стояла,
И дворник на чай попросил.

Когда же он медленно вышел,
Подняв воротник, из ворот,
Таращил сочувственно с крыши
Глазищи обмызганный кот.

Ты думаешь, тоже свидетель?
Так он и ответит тебе!
В такой же гульбе
Его добродетель! А…….
