by Taras Hryhorovych Shevchenko (1814 - 1861)

Dolja
Language: Ukrainian (Українська)
Ty ne lukavyla zo mnoju,
Ty druhom, bratom i sestroju
Siromi stala. Ty vzjala
Mene, malen'koho, za ruku
I v školu chlopcja odvela
Do p'janoho djaka v nauku.
«Učysja, serden'ko, kolys'
Z nas budut' ljude»,— ty skazala.
A ja j posluchav, i učyvs',
I vyvčyvsja. A ty zbrechala.
Jaki z nas ljude? Ta darma!
My ne lukavyly z toboju,
My prosto jšly; u nas nema
Zerna nepravdy za soboju.
Chodimo ž, dolen'ko moja!
Mij druže vbohyj, nelukavyj!
Chodimo dal'še, dal'še slava,
A slava — zapovid' moja.
