Myrtil et Palémone

Myrtil et Palémone, enfants chers aux bergers,
Se poursuivent dans l'herbe épaisse des vergers,
Et font fuir devant eux, en de bruyantes joies,
La file solennelle et stupide des oies.
Or Myrtil a vaincu Palémone en ses jeux ;
Comme il l'étreint, rieuse, entre ses bras fougueux,
Il frémit de sentir, sous les toiles légères ;
Palpiter tout à coup des formes étrangères ;
Et la double rondeur naissante des seins nus
Jaillit comme un beau fruit sous ses doigts ingénus.
Le jeu cesse... Un mystère en son cœur vient d'éclore,
Et, grave, il les caresse et les caresse encore.
