by Ivan Lvovych Lypa (1865 - 1923), as Petro Marienko

Žurba
Language: Ukrainian (Українська)
Schylylas' duplava, hnyla,
Porochnava, sucha verba,
Ach serce stočyla, pohryzla,
Ta spyla meni žurba.
Oj viter huljaje, verboju chytaje,
Skrypyt' verba, ne žalujut' ljudy
Ščo serce u hrudy dere žurba!
Oj, vity lamaje, v podruhu metaje,
Sestra verba, i myla kepkuje,
Ščo serce šmatuje, ta rve žurba.
Hej, hrome iz chmary vdar
Z bureju v pari v suchu verbu,
Hej, ljuteje hore, dobyj serce
Chore j skinčy žurbu!
