Geborn ist Gottes Söhnelein,
zu Bethlehem ein Kindelein,
und liegt in einem Krippelein,
gewunden arm in Windelein

Darüber läßt uns fröhlich sein
und machen ihm ein Wiegelein
nämlichen unsers Herzens Schrein,
daß er darinne ruhe fein.

So wiegen wir dich, Jesulein;
wie sehn mich an dein Engelein?
Wie hast weißrote Wängelein?
Wie reichest mir dein Händelein?

Nun laßt uns singen und sein froh
mit den Spielern in Organo
und mit den Sängern in Choro:
Benedicamus Domino.

in Bethlehem als een kindeke
en ligt in een kribbetje
armoedig in doeken en windsels.

Laten we blij zijn; met elkaar
zetten w’een wiegje voor hem klaar
in ons eigen hart opdat hij daar
heel lekker kan slapen.

Wij wiegen jou, Jezuke
Hoe je engelen naar mij kijken
Hoe rood wangetjes lijken
Hoe jouw handjes naar mij reiken

Laat ons nu blij zijn en zingen
samen met de organisten
en de zangers in koor:
Gezegend zij de Heer.
