by Dezső Kosztolányi (1885 - 1936)

Vörös hervadás
Language: Hungarian (Magyar)
Erdő,
dércsípte lombod ájultan vonaglik.
Meghalsz,
reád lehelt a vörös hervadás.
De mért e vidám pompa? Mért
öltözködöl halál előtt a fényes
bíbornokoknak, részeg szeretőknek,
ifjú dühnek, kigyulladt lázadásnak
harsány szinébe?
Oly ünnep-e zsibbadni, elfeledni
lármás kirándulókat és rigókat,
vizek zaját,
az élet édes-olcsó csengetyűit?
Oly jó nem élni?
Örülsz?
