Sennenglück
Language: German (Deutsch)
Auf luftiger Höhe,
auf grünender Au,
in wonniger Nähe
beim himmlischen Blau,
da wohnen mit Freuden,
den Wolken im Schoß,
die Sennen und weiden
die Herden sich groß.

Wo nimmer die Biene
das Röschen umsummt,
wo nie der Lawine
Getöse verstummt,
da fasset kein Grausen
am furchtbaren Rand
die Kühnen, und schauen
frisch umher in das Land.

Wo donnernd zur Fläche
hochschäumend und weiß
entstürzen die Bäche
von ewigem Eis,
da grüßet der Morgen
mit Alpenhorn-Klang
die Frohen, und horchen
dem lieblichen Sang.
