Ukrainiec
Language: Polish (Polski)
W dzikim stepie zawierucha
  Po burzanach dmie
Na mogile płomień bucha
  Trzaska obok mnie
Przy ognisku w burce stoję
  szary śledzę dym
I wspomnienia chmurne moje
  w świat wyprawiam z nim.

Ach! i w duszy często burza
  Z gradem zwodnych mar
W piekło uczuć serce nurza
  W mózgu nieci żar
Wtedy dumą rozegranem
  okiem mierzę świat
A z aniołem i szatanem
  idę brat za brat.

Lecz się kończy nocna czata
  Rysuje się cień
I poranku mglista szata
  Osłoniła dzień
Niechaj ogień zgasi rosa
  Wiatr rozniesie dym
Myśl uderzy o niebiosa
  orlem skrzydłem swym.
