Du weiche Nacht, o komm mich zu umfangen,
Mein Sehnen rundest du und reifst den Wein.
Ein seliges, ein stummes Heiland-Bangen
Schwellt meine Seele, zur Empfängnis rein.

Und wie ich sehnend meine Arme breite,
Da ringt sich von des Himmels Früchten los
Ein heller Keim und fällt aus Gottes Weite
In meiner Seele betend bangen Schoß.
