by Juan Ruiz, Archpriest of Hita (c1283 - c1350)

Quiero seguir
Language: Spanish (Español)
Quiero seguir
á tí, flor de las flores,
siempre decir
cantar á tus loores:
non me partir
de te servir,
mejor de las mejores!

Grand fianza
he yo en tí, Señora,
la mi esperanza,
en tí es toda hora:
de tribulanza
sin tardanza
venme librar agora.

Estrella del mar,
puerto de folgura,
remedio de pesar
é de tristura:
venme librar
é confortar,
Señora del altura!

Nunca fallece
la tu merced cumplida,
siempre guarece
de cuitas é caida:
nunca perece
nin entristece
quien á tí non olvida.

Sufro grand mal
sin merecer á tuerto,
me quejo tal
porque cuido ser muerto:
mas tu me val,
non veo ál
que me sanque á puerto.
