Schauet, Priester! schauet, Laien! O wie schauens-wert! Ringsum ist dem holden Maien Wunderkraft beschert! Ringsum Hochgewalt! Jauchzt dem Zauberer entgegen, Wann er blüht zu Wonn' und Seegen, Dann ist niemand alt! Täglich muß das Fest gelingen, Dankbar ihm geweiht! Hüpfen sollt ihr, lachen, singen, Wie das Herz gebeut! Nur kein Weh, kein Ach! Hört ihr nicht der Nachtigallen Beste Jubeltöne hallen? Fühlt und ahmet nach!
