by Aleksandr Aleksandrovich Bestuzhev-Marlinsky (1797 - 1837)

Na Kazbek
Language: Russian (Русский)
Na Kazbek sletelis' tuchi,
Slovno gornye orly...
Im navstrechu, na skaly
Uzdenej otrjad letuchij
Vyshe, vyshe, kruche, kruche
Skachet, russkimi razbit:
Sled ikh krov'ju kipit.

Na khvostakh polki pogoni;
Zanesen i shtyk, i mech;
Smert'ju sejotsja kartech'...
Net spasen'ja v sile, v brone...
"Begu, begu, koni, koni!"
Pali vy, - a daleka
Krepost' gornogo leska!"

Serdce nashikh - russkikh meta...
Na kolena pal mulla -
I molitva, kak strela,
Do proroka Magometa,
V more sveta, v nebo sveta,
Poletela, poneslas':
"Il'-Alla, ne vydaj nas!"

Net spasen'ja niotkuda!
Vdrug, po maniju nebes,
Zashumel dalekij les:
Vejot, pleshchet, katit grudoj,
Nizhe, blizhe, chudo, chudo!..
Musul'mane spaseny
Sred' lesistoj krutizny!
