Sams seng aat alle reidest, 
der me faar leggja oss ned 
kyrkjegarden den logne med 
eveleg togn og fred.

Livsens lukka er draumar 
midt i eit fangereid.
Livet det vert, naar ein vaknar
audt som ei naki heid.

Livsens voner er skodda, 
der ein i otte sit.
Men naar so lufti klaarnar, 
missa ein maa sitt vit.

Bröder, kveik ikkje ljoset, 
syn ikkje samanheng!
Lat oss faa gaa med draumen 
til kvild i den store seng.

Poussière

Tous ensemble, un jour, nous partirons,
lorsque viendra le temps de nous coucher
dans le paisible cimetière
où règnent  silence éternel et paix.

Le bonheur de la vie est un rêve
au milieu d'une marche de prisonniers.
Quand on s'éveille, la vie devient
vide comme une lande nue.

Les espoirs de la vie sont comme le brouillard
dans lequel on demeure anxieux.
Mais lorsque l'air enfin s'éclaircit,
on doit perdre la raison.

Frères, n'allumez pas la lumière,
ne révélez pas les liens cachés !
Laissez-nous poursuivre notre rêve
jusqu'au repos dans le grand lit.
