by Joannes Reddingius (1873 - 1944)

Elfen, reppen zij zich voort
Language: Dutch (Nederlands)
Elfen, reppen zij zich voort,
lachend om hun wilde dansje,
nu het lokkig - blonde Hansje
droomt, zoo zijïg-zacht van wang?

Zegt er een een fluisterwoord,
neemt een ander snel het over,
staat de heele tuin in toover
na den lichten ommegang ?

' t Is zoo vast als eenig ding,
' k hoor ze gaan en zacht- bewogen
kijk ik naar de blauw - lichte oogen
van mijn kleinen lieveling .
