Occhio nero incendiator
Language: Italian (Italiano)
Available translation(s): ENG
Occhio nero incendiator,
Io non so se un ben sei tu.
L'occhio azzurro è dolce più,
Pien d'un tenero languor.
Guerra al cor l'occhio nero mi fa,
Pace e calma l'azzurro mi dà.
L'occhio nero é quel signor,
Molto esige e poco dà.
È terribil nello sdegno,
Passaggier nella pietà.
L'occhio azzurro é ascoso ardor,
Poco ostenta e molto fa,

Black Eye, the incendiary
Language: English  after the Italian (Italiano)
Black Eye, the incendiary,
I do not know if you are very good.
The blue eye is sweeter,
full of a tender lingering.
The black eye causes war to my heart;
The blue eyes give me peace and calmness.
The black eye is that person:
He demands a lot and he gives very little;
he is of terrible disdain,
walking in his mercy.
The blue eye is concealed in love;
It shows very little does a lot,
and it compensates a long love
with secret fidelity.
But the love and the beauty
Does not depend on the color.
My beautiful goddess will have me
if her eye answers to my heart.
Provided that it is not cold or false,
black or blue is a beautiful eye for me.
