Jeg bader min Krop i dens Lys.
Jeg strækker mine Arme mod den.
Men mine Øjne ejer dens Glans.

Eja for Jorden, som lever i Lyset
med Skove og Søer og Blomster og Græs.
Dyrene hører min Røst, naar jeg kalder.
Fuglene synger og lærer mig Toner.
Eja for Jorden, som lever i Lys!

Eja for Himlen, hvor Solen har hjemme
og Maanen og alle de skinnende Stjerner.
De flygter som Hinder, naar Dag stormer frem.

Natten er stor; men jeg frygter den ikke.
Maanen og Stjernerne er mine Venner.

Straalerne falder som Regn paa mit Hjerte.
