by Otto Erich Hartleben (1864 - 1905)

Im Zaune klagt die Nachtigall
Language: German (Deutsch)
Im Zaune klagt die Nachtigall,
im Winde bebt der Flieder.
Sie fliegt auf seinen schwanken Zweig,
da beugt sich die Blüthe hernieder.

Sie beugt sich nieder tiefbeglückt,
und Regentropfen rinnen
wie Thränen in das Grab hinab ...
Da flattert der Vogel von hinnen.
