Österreichs Bitte
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  ENG
    Vater in den Strahlenhöh'n
    Höre unser kindlich Fleh'n!
Träufle deine Segensfülle
    Auf das hohe Herrscherpaar!
Dessen That und dessen Wille,
Angesichts und in der Stille
Gut und edel ist und war.
    Ruhet deine Segenshand
Über Habsburgs mildem Throne
Heil dann jedem Bürgersohne,
    Heil dir bied'res Vaterland!

Confirmed with Gedichte der beiden Brüder Janitschka, Wein: bei Anton Benke, 1838, page 69.

Austria's prayer
Language: English  after the German (Deutsch)
    Father in the radiant heights,
Hear our childlike pleading!
Drip Thy plenitude of blessings
    Upon the lofty reigning pair!
Whose deeds and will,
Both in public and in private,
Are and were good and noble.
    If Thy hand in blessing
Is spread over the beneficient throne of the Habsburgs
Then it is well for every citizen's son,
It is well for you, worthy fatherland!
