Am Markte lag ein tot gestürztes Kind, Im blauen Kleid zum Bündel still verbogen. Der Vogel lockte es, der in den Wind Am Morgenfenster war hinaufgeflogen. Die Mutter kam und nahm es in den Schoß. Sie weinte nicht, die Fromme konnte beten. Wie Sonntag war der Platz, erhellt und groß. Die hohe Tröstung war hineingetreten. O Vögel flieget, flieget auf im Wind! Und Fensterspiel und himmelblaues Kind.
