Wanderlied
Language: German (Deutsch)
Mich lockt der Süd, mich lockt der Nord,
Wo mag es schöner sein?
Nur erst aus meinem Dörfchen fort,
Frisch in die Welt hinein!
Die Schwalbe zwitschert: Her, komm her!
Die Wolken winken: komm’
Und ziehen fort zum fernen Meer
Wohl über Berg und Strom.

Drum, Mutter, pack mir's Ränzel glatt
Und hol' den Wanderstab,
Den mir der Vater, wandersmatt,
Zum Angedenken gab.
Schlag' dir das Grämen aus dem Sinn,
Mach' mir das Herz nicht bang,
Zwei Jährchen schwinden rasch dahin,
Zwei Jährchen sind nicht lang.

Ich lass' dich, Mutter, nicht allein
Verlassen hier zurück,
Die Hoffnung, die soll bei dir sein
Mit ihrem Trostesblick.
Der Frohsinn, dieser Springinsfeld,
Der, Mutter, zieht mit mir
Führt mich hinaus in fremde Welt
Und bringt mich wieder dir.
