Zieh'n vorüber blütenschwer,

on l’anhel es desperta de nou,
on les flors tornen a brostar;
i de nou somriu la primavera!

Cal que sorgeixin tots els delits,
que tot trobi el seu acompliment.
Ai, que de pressa volen els dies,
on l’anhel es desperta de nou!

Mireu, els dies vénen i se’n van,
passen de pressa carregats de flors,
aviat s’esvaneix el goig de l’estiu,
i al seu darrere bramula el vent de tardor.

Ai, la florida i la verdor veritables
no han tornat a aparèixer! 
Ai, que de pressa volen els dies,
on l’anhel es desperta de nou!
