Og Solen går op med sitt gule Væld,
og Fuglene hopper og maurene gaar i det stille Fjæld.
Og Myggenes Sværme begynder at syde,
og Lyngens og Blaaklokkers Hjerte slaar
med skjælvende Lyde.

Der frugtes og grødes en Sommernat,
naar Kloderne hvisker hinanden
sit Savn og Stævne har sat.
Det var sig engang, at en Sjæl var tilstede,
da Jorden aabned sin længtende Favn
og Stjernen var nede.

Et le soleil se lève avec sa source dorée,
et les oiseaux sautillent et les fourmis marchent sur la montagne silencieuse.
Et les essaims de moucherons commencent à bourdonner,
et le cœur des campanules bleues et de la bruyère
bat d'un tremblement sonore.

Une nuit d'été fructifie et mûrit,
alors que les astres murmurent entre eux
de leur absence et se donnent rendez-vous.
Il fut un temps où une âme était présente,
quand la Terre ouvrait son sein plein de désir
et que l'étoile était descendue.
