Der alte Drache braust und droht, Kein Schiff kann sicher sich wähnen. Ich lege die Hand auf mein klopfend Herz Und weine Perlentränen. Von Ost her zieht nach Westen hin Ein Vogel mit blauen Schwingen; Dem gebe ich ein Brieflein mit, Das mög' er Maku bringen.
