Mittag, Abend, eh ich einen Bissen aß, Kommt das Unglück, sitzt mit mir zu Tisch, Bricht von meinem Brot und trinkt aus meinem Glas, Ißt von meinem Teller Fleisch und Fisch. Lieber wollt' ich, daß der Liebste käme Und von meinem Glas und Teller nähme; Wenn er einmal wieder traulich bei mir wär', Schmeckte mir der Wein wohl nicht so bitter mehr.
