En Situation
Language: Danish (Dansk)
Our translations:  FRE
Jeg lader Baaden glide frem
Saa jævnt af Søens Vover;
Du tidsnok kommer til dit Hjem,
Før Dagens Stjerne sover.

Her er vi ganske ene nu,
Her lytter intet Øre,
Og her jeg ydmygt haaber, Du
Engang mit Suk vil høre.

Hvad er din Tvivl? hvad er din Frygt?
I Verdens vilde Vrimmel
Staaer Kjærlighedens Tempel trygt,
En Forgaard til vor Himmel.

Der knitrer ei saa stærk en Ild,
Som Kjærlighed jo dæmper,
Der bruser ingen Storm saa vild,
Som den jo let bekjæmper!

Du løfter kold dit Øies Blaa
Mod mine vaade Blikke!
O, vil Du ei mit Suk forstaae?
Du kan, men vil det ikke! -- --

Her er dit Hjem, -- stiig nu i Land, --
Jeg ene roer tilbage,
Og for den stille Skov og Strand
Jeg synge vil min Klage.
