Ruhe bei Ihr
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  ENG
In diesen bangen Tagen
Was kann man Bess'res tun,
Als, jeder Sorg' entschlagen,
An treuem Herzen ruhn?

Ja, komm du Herz voll Liebe,
Du Kind, o süßer Klang!
Du Mai im Winter trübe,
Du Tag in Nächten bang!

Wie Blumen ohne Schmerzen
Beim Schein der Sonne sind,
Wie an dem Mutterherzen
In Wonne ruht ein Kind;

Wie Vogel ohne Sorgen
Bei Kraut und Blume tut,
Wie tief im Wald verborgen
Ein Reh beim Borne ruht;

So laß mich bei dir bleiben,
Daß von der Menschen Qual,
Von all dem bangen Treiben
Dies Herz ausschläft einmal.
