pente met᾽ ἄllōn Charmos ἐn Ἀrkadiᾳ dolicheyōn, 
thaῦma men, ἀll᾽ ὄntōs ἕbdomos ἐxepesen. 
‘ἓx ὄntōn’, tach᾽ ἐreῖs, ‘pῶs ἕbdomos ?’ eἷs philos aὐtoῦ, 
‘ tharsei, Charme,’ legōn, ἦlthen ἐn ἱmatiῳ. 
ἕbdomos oὖn oὕtō paraginetai: eἰ d᾽ ἔti pente 
eἶche philus, ἦlth᾽ ἄn, Zōile, dōdekatos.
