Wie ist sie mir erschienen So bleich, so lieb im Traum! So ernster, edler Mienen Sah ich sie wachend kaum. Einst wird sie wiederkommen So himmlisch hell und gut, Im Himmel aller Frommen, In höh'rer Liebesglut. Was ist's, wenn sie im Leben Von mir gewendet geht? Ich will ihr gern vergeben, Daß sie mich nicht versteht: Besucht sie nur in Träumen Mich noch auf dieser Welt, Ist nur in Himmelsräumen Ein Haus für uns bestellt.
