from Volkslieder (Folksongs)

Levél az otthoniakhoz
Language: Hungarian (Magyar)
Áldást, békességet kívánok házamnak,
Kívánok házamnak, apámnak, anyámnak,
Emlékezetben hogy engemet tartsanak!
Mikor elhagytam a szülei házat,
Híres kis falumat, szép magyar hazámat,
Akkor szállt szívemre igen nagy búbánat.
Kívánom, az Isten áldja meg kendteket,
Szerencsétlenségtől ójja mindenünket,
Szíveteket soha bánatba ne ejtse,
Nemzetemet soha semmi haj ne érje!
