Zomerzang
Language: Dutch (Nederlands)
Als wy door groene beemden gaan,
Daar veelderhande bloempjes staan,
Die tot ons al iet willen spreken,
Met wit en blaauw, en roodt en geel,
Vermengt, besprengt, so schoon en eel.
Hoe wel, hoe naast en dicht bekeken,
Terwyl zy haren geest van geur
Door 't aangename lyf van kleur
So hart-verquicklyk van sich geven,
En 't wintje, vegende over 't hof
Met bloeysel-reuck, het ruysend lof
Der hoge Popelaars doet beven,
De morgen-son so heerlyck blinckt,
En koele dauw van kruytjes drinckt
By't tuytren, fluyten, singen, quelen
Van 't luchtig, vluchtig pluymgediert,
Dat tusschen Aerde en Hemel swiert
En door de tackjes heen gaat spelen;
Dan dencken wy in ons gemoet:
O, Paradys, wat syt Gy soet!...
