by Rainer Maria Rilke (1875 - 1926)

Irgendwo muß es Paläste geben
Language: German (Deutsch)
Irgendwo muß es Paläste geben,
drin die Fenster von Staub verschnein ;
in der Säle hallende Reihn
tauchen tote Tage hinein :
Gestalten wallen, es warnt der Schrein ;
und kein lustiger Leuchterschein
reicht in das einsame Seltsamsein ...
Dort wollen wir Feste geben –
märchenallein.
