by Frederik van Eeden (1860 - 1932)

Zing, mijn lieveke, zing
Language: Dutch (Nederlands)
Zing, mijn lieveke, zing het lied,
dat droeve bloemharten doen klinken,
  als hun ontzinken
zachtkens allen de vallende blaan,
't lied der moeden, die rusten gaan.

Hoort ge, lieveke, 't ruischen niet?
Doodwind komt over de landen gevaren,
  bloemen en blaren
allen vindt er de winter bereid
hem te volgen in eeuwigheid
