by Borys Dmytrovych Hrinchenko (1863 - 1910)

Vnoči na mohyli
Language: Ukrainian (Українська)
Vnoči na mohyli vysokij stoju
I dyvljus' navkruhy:
Stepy til'ky mrijut' šyroki
Ta z daleka mrijut' temni luhy.

I kraj toho stepu znykaje
V tumanovych chvyljach jasnych,
A misjac' sriblom oblyvaje
Ïch z neba v prominnjach svoïch.

I serce polynut' bažaje
Tudy, až do kraju stepiv,
Tudy, de šče volja huljaje,
De halas ljuds'kyj ne hučniv.

Tam til'ky kistky ti kozači
Ta krov’ju polyta zemlja,
Zdajet'sja meni, ščo nenače
Zmicnila b tam syla moja.

Tam volju didy boronyly
I tam pochovaly ïï,
JA virju: svjati ïch mohyly
Rozburkaly b syly moï.

I movčky stoju na mohyli,
Stoju i dyvljus' navkruhy:
Bilijut' stepy, jak bilily,
Čornijut' daleki luhy...
