by Friedrich Adolf Ludwig von Oeynhausen (1795 - 1871)

Liebesgruss
Language: German (Deutsch)
Gegen die Dämm'rung nieder
Der Strom hat seinen Lauf,
Die Wellen fliessen so eben,
Das Schifflein schwebt darauf,
Ruhig hinab gezogen
Das kleine Boot
In den viel kühlen Wogen,
Die blinken so golden roth.

Meine Gedanken immer
Und all auch mein Gesang
Schwimmt in der Wehmuth Strome,
Die hat so grossen Drang
Gegen die Abendröthe
Der Liebe mein;
Gruss ich so gern entböte
Nach drüben dem gold'nen Schein.

Es hebt sich ein Kranich zu fliegen
Offenen Flugs über See
Mit klagendem Flügelschlage,
O Sehnsucht thut so weh!
Geh' denn, meines Gesanges
Beschwingter Gruss,
Grüsse sie, die ich ein Langes
Auch schon vermissen muss.
