И арф эоловых безмолвен грустный ряд...
Те арфы - это вы, певцы моей отчизны!

Молчат они, молчат, как арфы в этот зной!..
Но если б мимо их промчался вихрем гений
И жизни дух пахнул в родимой стороне -
Навстречу новых сил и новых откровений
Какими б звуками откликнулись оне!..
