by Gustaf Fröding (1860 - 1911)

Ett drömackord
Language: Swedish (Svenska)
Djupt i det djupa
seklerna stupa,
åldrama sofva,
Hör hur den dofva
sorlande sången
Går från en ålder
i djupet förgången,
Hör hur det strömmar,
hör hur de brusa,
Mörka och ljusa,
vemodets minnen,
Från skönare tider,
starkare strider,
Hör hur det klagar
manligt och vekt om de fagrare dagar,
Kampen var högsint och hård.

Hög rider fursten
i guldstickad sadel,
Stolt rider adel
fursten i spåren
fram genom våren
Susande lummig i heliga ekar,
Segern är vunnen,
Folket går ringdans
i högtidens lekar,
Gul vaggar säden
långt bakom träden
Skymtar den gästfrie
jarlens gård.
