Liten gosse smyckades nyss med rosor, syrener, klenoder, darrgräs och mossa. Aldrig med kyss väcks han mer af sin moder. Sprang från klippan från systern sin, vill ej lyssna på kältet. Lingonet, sippan fresta hans sinn, dem han sett i från fältet. Liten gosse föll mot en sten, störtade utför kullen. Rosor och mossa täcker hans ben, där han sover i mullen.
