Rex virtutum, rex gloriae,
rex insignis victoriae,
Jesu, largitor veniae,
honor coelestis patriae.

Tu fons misericordiae,
tu verae lumen patriae,
pelle nubem tristitiae
dans nobis lucem gloriae.
	
Coeli cives occurite,
portas vestras atollite,
triumphatori, dicite:
"Ave, Jesu, rex inclyte."

Jesus ad patrem rediit,
coeleste regnum subiit:
cor meum a me transiit,
post Jesum simul abiit.
		
Quem prosequamur laudibus,
votis, hymnis et precibus:
ut nos donet coelestibus,
cum ipso frui sedibus.

Voiman ja kunnian kuningas,
kuningas, jolla on voitonmerkki,
Jeesus, armon tuoja,
taivaallisen isänmaan kaunistus.

Sinä laupeuden lähde,
oikean isänmaamme valo,
hajota murheen pilvet
ja anna kirkkautesi loistaa meille.

Taivaan asukkaat, rientäkää,
aukaiskaa porttinne
voittajalle sanoen:
"Terve sinulle, Jeesus, ylistetty kuningas."

Jeesus palasi isänsä luo, 
nousi taivaan valtakuntaan:
sydämeni lähti luotani,
se poistui Jeesuksen mukana.

Häntä seuratkaamme kiittäen
uhrilahjoin, hymnein ja rukouksin;
hänhän antaa meille sijan taivaassa,
että saamme iloita hänen kanssaan.
