Der Erkenntnis nun euch naht,
Wandert fest auf eurem Pfade,
Wißt, es ist der Weisheit Pfad.
Nur der unverdroßne Mann
Mag dem Quell des Lichts sich nah'n.

Nehmt, o Pilger, zum Geleite
Eurer Brüder Segen mit!
Vorsicht sei euch stets zur Seite;
Wißgier leite euren Schritt!
Prüft und werdet nie dem Wahn
Träger Blindheit untertan!

Rauh ist zwar des Lebens Reise,
Aber süß ist auch der Preis,
Der des Wand'rers harrt, der weise
Seine Fahrt zu nützen weiß.
Glücklich, wer einst sagen kann:
Es ist Licht auf meiner Bahn!

Vous qui d'un nouveau grade
dans la connaissance vous approchez,
cheminez fermement sur votre chemin,
sachez que c'est le chemin de la sagesse.
Seul l'homme persévérant
peut s'approcher de la source de la lumière.

Prenez, ô pélerins, pour vous accompagner
la bénédiction de vos frères !
Que la prudence reste à vos côtés ;
que la soif de connaissance vous conduise !
Questionnez  et jamais à l'illusion
de l'ignorance ne soyez soumis.

Certes le voyage de la vie est rude,
mais douce est aussi la récompense,
celle qui attend les voyageurs, celle dont le sage
sait qu'elle sera apportée par son voyage.
Heureux est celui qui peut dire :
Il y a une lumière sur mon chemin !
