Capvespre
Language: Catalan (Català)
Available translation(s): ENG
Commou la tarda, amb fina tremolor,
en el cel clar, un espurneig d’estrella
que recullen els camps com la llavor
a dins del solc que va deixar la rella.
I d’una a l’altra banda del conreu
damunt l’amplada fecundada i blana
fa com una ombra púdica la veu,
que abriga i protegeix, d’una campana.

Evening
Language: English  after the Catalan (Català)
A slight tremor disturbs the evening,
in the clear sky, a flicker of a star
that the fields collect like a seed
in the furrow that the plow left behind.
And from end to end of the tilled field,
upon the fertilized, soft wideness,
casts a sort of modest shadow, the sound
of a bell that shelters and protects.
