"Vertraue mir, Yoduno! O sage was dir ist, Daß du so traurig bist?" Dir sagen, was mir ist? Mich kümmert nicht mein Fieber, Das plötzlich geht wie kommt. Ein Übel drückt mich, Lieber! Wo keine Heilung frommt. "Vertraue mir, Yoduno! O sage was dir ist, Daß du so traurig bist?" Dir sagen, was mir ist? Kein Weh im Haupt und Magen, In Hand und Fuß! O nein! Doch ewig muß ich klagen. Errätst du meine Pein? "Vertraue mir, Yoduno! O sage was dir ist, Daß du so traurig bist?" Dir sagen, was mir ist? Ach! namenlose Schmerzen, Und keiner Hoffnung Strahl! Mir glüht's und pocht's im Herzen! Errätst du meine Quaal? "Mit Freundesangst, Yoduno! Errat' ich, was dir ist, Daß du so traurig bist." Nun sage, was mir ist? "Dich martern Seelenwehen! Du liebest hofnungslos!" Ja Freund! ich muß vergehen! Ich liebe hofnungslos.
