Confirmed with Deutsche Volkslieder. Sammlung von Franz Ludwig Mittler, Marburg und Leipzig: N. G. Elwert'scher Verlag, 1855, no. 768, page 557. First of three variations. See also the second, Dort droben auf hohem Berge; and the third, Da droben in jenem Thale.

¹ J. Lang's song uses contemporary spelling and capitalization, and changes one word in line 3. Lang:

da geht ein Mühlenrad!
