Ach, wie so selig schwandet ohne Leid ihr, ohne Klage!
Sah nur Freuden mir am Wege spriessen,
Konnte frei des Lebens Lust geniessen.
 
Wie sie mich umschwärmten, wie wir scherzten, lachten!
Dieser durft mich küssen, Jenen liess ich schmachten.
Jedes Jahr mir neue Freuden brachte,
Und im Jahre bracht' sie jede Woche,
In der Woche bracht' sie jeder Tag mir.
Kehrtet ihr zurück, ihr gold'nen Tage!
