Nur der Liebe Strahlen geben
Helles Licht dem Schattenfeld.

Klagend trauert die Natur,
Fühlt sie nicht der Liebe Wonne,
Liebe ist der Welten Sonne,
Sie erquicket Hain und Flur.

Angelacht von ihrem Blick,
Jubeln Erde, Luft und Meere -
Holde Liebe, dir sei Ehre,
Spendest ewig Lebensglück.

Enkel liefdes stralen geven
Helder licht in 't schaduwdal.
 
De natuur treurt als ontheemd,
Als zij liefde moet ontberen;
Liefde is de zon der sferen,
Stralend voedt zij bos en beemd.
 
Toegelachen door haar blik,
Juub'len zeeën, lucht en aarde.
Lieve liefde, alle eer waarde,
Jij geeft eeuwig levensgeluk.
